Characteristics of Materials Game – Science

Use the Smartboard to learn about characteristic of materials including rubber, paper, metal, fabric and plastic. Test these objects to see if they are waterproof, transparent, flexible or strong. Knowing the different characteristics or properties of an object help to distinguish it from other objects.

Directions: Click on full screen to enlarge. Use the arrows at the bottom to choose a material, drag the material into the tester. Next, click on one of the 4 questions to test the material to see if it is waterproof, transparent, flexible or strong. Then, click on the magnifying glass to learn more about the selected material. Click on the workshop button to create an object from different materials and learn why some materials are better than others to make objects. Finally, select quiz to test what you have learned. Play
