Prime Factorization Game – Math

Practice your prime factorization skills using this interactive game and the Smartboard. Prime factorization is finding which prime numbers multiply together to make the original prime number. Factor trees can be used to help make this process easier. Factor trees give you a visual breakdown of the factors.

Directions: Choose your game mode. Time Challenge or Design a Forest. The time challenge gives you three minutes for each while Design a Forest gives you unlimited time. For each select a seed to begin. You will be give a number you will find all the prime factors for by clicking the green + button under the number to add a branch to the factor tree. Use the up and down arrows to choose your numbers. Continue using the + button until all you have left are prime numbers. Click the ? to check to see if you are correct. Play
